Due to the drive unit’s enhanced planetary design and heavy duty construction, these drives are capable of digging in the toughest ground conditions and offer industry leading torque output at optimum digging speeds.
The planetary style drives are preferred over direct-drive models when high torque outputs are required. The drive utilizes a transmission style gear reduction set-up to increase output torque – which is great for digging in rock, frost, or tough ground conditions.
